STRAWBERRY GINGER ALE JELLO
Gelatine 3 packages (Knox Original Gelatine Unflavored) Cold water 2 cups Sugar 200g Ginger Ale 2 bottles (12 oz each) (Premium Ginger Brew from Reed's) Strawberries sliced 10 - 15 7-cup mold Canola oil spray *No peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat |
1. Pour water in a large microwavable bowl. Sprinkle gelatine over the cold water. Let it absorb for 5 minutes.
2. Microwave the gelatine water about 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the sugar to the gelatine hot water. Mix very well until sugar completely dissolves.
4. Tilt the bowl and very gently and slowly add ginger ale, trying not to cause over bubbling.
5. Stir very gently, enough to mix the ginger ale and gelatine, but not to cause over bubbling.
6. Refrigerate about 1 hour to have a thickened gelatine. (Forms a shape if you stick your spatula and goes flat again when removed.)
7. Spray canola oil to the desired mold and wipe lightly.
8. Spoon the gelatine mixture about 1/3 and place sliced strawberries in many directions as if they are floating. Repeat the process.
9. Refrigerate about 5 hours.
We want to trap the bubble as much as possible in this pretty jello.
Premium Ginger Brew from Reed's is the only soda I drink. It tastes very fancy and crisp.
