MARSHMALLOW MAN KRISPIES
Basic Rice Krispies Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal 6 cups Shortening 3 tbsp (I use Butter Flavor Shortening from Spectrum) Miniature marshmallows 1 package (10 oz) (I use Jet Puffed Marshmallows from Kraft) Chocolate Chips (Semi-Sweet Mega Chunks from Enjoy Life) 2 pieces Mini marshmallows 2 pieces (for the eyes) Fruit by the Foot strawberry roll 1 Chocolate Chips 160g (Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips Enjoy LiWhite food color Blue Food color * The original recipe with no food color will be lightly tanned color. *No peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat |

Basic Rice Krispies
1. In a medium size pot, melt shortening. The heat should just tickle the bottom of the pot. Don't try to make it quick.
2. Add the marshmallows to the pot. Stir constantly with a spatula. Do not raise the heat. Do this very slowly with patience.
3. When the marshmallows completely melt, add food color. Stir well to have even color.
4. Turn off the heat and add rice krispies cereal. Stir and cover all the cereal with melted marshmallows.

Shaping
1. Using white rice krispies, make the body, arms, legs, head, and the cap (white parts only.)
2. Arrange the bow with Fruit by the Foot, strawberry roll as shown in the pictures on Marshmallow Man's tummy.
3. Make blue rice krispies. (1/4 amount is fine)
4. Separate into cap liner, cap ball, and sailor, and arrange.
5. Use Fruit by the Food strawberry to make the ribbon on the cap and mouth.
6. Place mini marshmallow as his eyes, top it with mega chunk chocolate. Trim the chocolate with small scissors if needed.
