STEAK WITH CARAMELIZED RED ONIONS
Beef (rib eye) 2 Soy sauce 6 tbsp Red wine 5 tbsp (If you don't want to use soy sauce omit) Red onions 2 Cilantro 10 twigs Sugar 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar sauce (please click to see the recipe) 3 tbsp Red wine 3 tbsp Lettuces Balsamic vinegar sauce 1 tbsp *No peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat |
1. Place the beef in a ziplock bag. Pour soy sauce and red wine. Keep in refrigerator over night.
2. Take out the beef out of refrigerator, allowing the beef to redeem room temperature.
3. Slice the red onions.
4. Warm the pan, add olive oil and crushed garlic in low-medium heat. Let oil observe the garlic aroma and take out the garlic.
5. Saute the sliced red onions with the prepared olive oil in medium-low heat. Add sugar when onions are tender. Let onions caramelize.
6. Add red wine and stir, letting alcohol evaporate.
7. Add vinegar sauce and stir.
8. Remove from heat and add cilantro leaves.
9. Prepare lettuces and sprinkle Balsamic vinegar sauce.
10. Saute the beef to its medium rare. (If you did not marinate the beef with soy sauce, sprinkle salt and pepper just before sauteing.)
11. Slice the beef, arrange on the lettuces. Top with caramelized onions.
I heard many cheers on this recipe, allergic or not!
This caramelized onions goes well with flounders and cods as well.
